MAC Members have the opportunity to influence the definition and development of mobile standards through participation in MAC working groups. Working groups provide an interactive forum for developing mobile standard recommendations that apply to specific areas, such as ACPI/ Power Management, Operating Systems, Docking Stations, SubSystem Interconnect, Wireless Communications, Wireline Communications, Mobile Connectivity, Pre-Boot, Diagnostics, and Security. Members are invited to join one or more working group, as applicable to their areas of expertise. Members also have full MAC voting privileges. Membership also includes the ability to run for the Board of Directors, inclusion of company logo on the MAC web site, the ability to submit commentary on proposals, and access to information available on the MAC members only web site.
The annual membership fee is $4,500 and also entitles the member to join the PCMCIA at the Executive Level with no additional fee. Click here for information on the benefits of PCMCIA membership.
A listing of companies that are current MAC members is also available online. To become a member, please download the membership application.
